Platonic Solids Scroll Saw Pattern - Type 1

Construct all 5 Platonic Solids from wood with only a scroll saw. Made from 3 mm plywood, each edge of every solid measures approximately 5 cm (2 inches), making the dodecahedron, the largest solid, about 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter.

Included are patterns for:

• Tetrahedron (4 triangular faces)
• Cube (6 square faces)
• Octahedron (8 triangular faces)
• Dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces)
• Icosahedron (20 triangular faces)

The faces are held together with connector pieces, also part of the pattern. Great for painting or applying other unique finishes. Also see the Type 2 Platonic Solid pattern for a slightly easier design.
