On Sale
Added to cart

Construct all 5 Platonic Solids from wood with only a scroll saw. Made from 6 mm plywood, each edge of every solid measures approximately 5 cm (2 inches), making the dodecahedron, the largest solid, about 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter. Pieces may also be combined in other ways to form more complicated Archimedean solids, such as an Icosidodecahedron.

Included are patterns for:

  • Tetrahedron (4 triangular faces)
  • Cube (6 square faces)
  • Octahedron (8 triangular faces)
  • Dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces)
  • Icosahedron (20 triangular faces)

Great for painting or applying unique finishes. Pictures show the pieces finished with Modern Masters Metal Effects copper patina paint. Also see the Type 1 platonic solids pattern for an alternative, and more difficult, design.

The download contains both PDF patterns for easy printing, and editable SVG (Inkscape) patterns if you want to customize. This product is the pattern only. The purchaser may make multiple printed or electronic copies of the patterns for their own use and may sell any products created from these plans, but may not redistribute or publish the documents or any of its contents.
