Fractal Art Scroll Saw Pattern, Large 4-Layer
Use this scroll saw pattern to create a unique artwork from 4 layers of readily available plywood or hardwood. Generated by a computer using a fractal algorithm, each layer represents a subsequent calculation of the mathematical equation `z = sin(2*zi) - cos(1.2*zr) + j*sin(2*zr) +j*cos(1.2*zi)`.
The fractal layers measure 12" x 12" (305 mm x 305 mm) so they can be made on readily available sheets of Baltic Birch plywood without any extra cutting. Pattern includes a basic frame that can be made entirely on a scroll saw, or add your own custom frame. With frame, the piece measures 14.25" (362 mm) square. The piece can be painted, stained, or left unfinished. As shown, it was painted using water-diluted acrylic paint.
